Sidónio Magalhães Matias

Specialist Gynecologist - Obstetrician

Performs the role of Gynecology-Obstetrics Specialist in Coimbra Fertility Center | Clinimer. In 1974 get his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of Coimbra University. Also works as a Gynecology Hospital Assistant at the Bissaya-Barreto Maternity Gynecology Service since 1985 and as a Specialist in Reproductive Medicine Service at the Hospital Universitário de Coimbra since 2013. His professional career has always been linked to Reproductive Medicine. Since 1987, he has been a Reproductive Medicine Sector Specialist at the Bissaya-Barreto Maternity Gynecology Service and since 1994 as a Specialist in Reproductive Medicine at the same unit. He was director of the Center for Medically Assisted Procreation of the Hospital Center of Coimbra from 2009 to 2013. He has held other positions, such as Member of the Board of the Portuguese Society of Reproductive Medicine from 2000 to 2002 as well from 2009 to 2011 and Vice-President of the General Assembly of the Portuguese Society of Reproductive Medicine 2003 to 2008.
